    Introduction to the Computation Offloading from Mobile Devices to the Edge of Mobile Network

    This paper introduces the concept of Small Cell Cloud (SCC) composed of multiple Cloud-enabled Small Cells (CeSCs), which provide radio connection for mobile User Equipment (UE) such as smart-phones or wearables such as smart glasses. Moreover, CeSCs host computations offloaded from UEs in a way similar to centralized cloud, yet different in its proximity to users. Proposed client-server architecture of SCC con-veys mechanisms for moving offloaded computations from the UEs to CeSCs. Real-life implementation of the SCC architecture relies on custom-developed Of-floading Framework which is responsible for low-level communication between the UE and the SCC. The Of-floading Framework is accompanied by an Augmented Reality (AR) app, which employs intensive computa-tions for discovery of places of interest. Such app is latency-sensitive, a criterion which makes computation offloading beneficial due to its ability to decrease la-tency. The combination of the O˜oading Framework and the AR app makes up an SCC testbed used for fur-ther performance evaluation. Numerous measurements are carried out to examine the impact of various pa-rameters. Based on Proof-of-concept implementation and thorough measurements, it has been revealed that computation offloading can decrease overall latency as much as to 47 % and energy consumption on the UE side to 56

    Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem a konstrukcí repliky kulometné Královopolské lafety, kterou byly vyzbrojovány vybrané objekty Československého pohraničního opevnění před druhou světovou válkou. Práce je věnována analýze původních dokumentů k lafetě, vytvoření jejího CAD modelu, 3D skenování a následné úpravě naskenované polygonální sítě těžkého kulometu vz. 24, který byl vybrán jako příklad z kulometů lafetovaných do Královopolské lafety. Další část se zabývá virtuální kontrolou kompatibility modelu lafety s modelem kulometu a vytvoření modelu lafety pro výrobu dle zvolené technologie s co nejnižšími výrobními náklady. Součástí této bakalářské práce je také kompletní výkresová dokumentace k výrobě repliky.This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis and construction of the Královopolská gun mount replica, which were equipped in selected objects of Czechoslovak border fortifications before the World War II. This work is devoted to the analysis of the original documents for the gun mount, CAD model creation, 3D scanning and modification of scanned polygonal mesh of the heavy machine gun vz.24, which was selected as an example of machine guns mounted in the Královopolská gun mount. This is followed by a virtual compatibility check of the gun mount model with the machine gun model. The production model creation is introduced in next part, using technology with the lowest possible production costs. Complete drawing documentation for the replica production is also part of this bachelor thesis.

    This graduation thesis consider The Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia period in socalled political division Sedlčany and in example of this region try sketch large and plastic 398 painting of the society of the Protectorate Bohemia and Moravia. This painting is outline through the multiple-case study, or particular case studies, which objects are concrete social subjects, that lived in this period. These cases are not described only separately. In each of them are observed collective questions, which are compared and summarized at the close. These questions are: question of freedom of each social subject, predestination of his social position and his story in connection with belonging to proffesion, interest, ethnical and other typically and specifically social group, followed by question of universal and partial changes in this period, below continuousness and discontinuousness of the German occupation epoch with previous period. It is connected with the question of specifically living conditions of this epoch. Consequently are observed problems of resistance and collaboration, persecution (not only "Germans" but also "Czechs"), daily life in atmosphere of controlled war economy and ejection of the part of the so-called political division Sedlčany in consequence of foundation of SS military exercising...Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou období Protektorátu Čechy a Morava v tehdejším politickém okrese Sedlčany a na příkladu tohoto regionu se snaží podat co možná nejvíce široký a plastický obraz tehdejší (protektorátní) společnosti. Tento obraz je nastíněn prostřednictvím mnoho-případové studie respektive pomocí jednotlivých případových studií, jejichž předmětem zájmu jsou konkrétní sociální jedinci žijící ve sledovaném období. Tyto případy přitom nejsou popsány jen samostatně, ale v každém z nich jsou sledovány předem stanovené společné otázky a témata umožňující následnou komparaci a zhodnocení. K těmto v závěru shrnutým otázkám patří otázka svobody každého jedince, predestinace jeho sociální pozice a dalšího směřování jeho životního příběhu v sledovaném období na základě jeho příslušnosti k určité profesní, zájmové, etnické a jiné typické a specifické skupině, dále problematika změn, kterými prošli daní sociální jedinci (respektive sociální typy) v rámci zkoumaného období, a zároveň otázka podmíněnosti těchto změn samotnou realitou německé okupace. V té souvislosti si práce všímá také otázky kontinuity a diskontinuity období Protektorátu Čechy a Morava s obdobím předchozím.     Characterization of Electroless Ni–P Coating Prepared on a Wrought ZE10 Magnesium Alloy

    Electroless low-phosphorus Ni–P coating was deposited on a wrought ZE10 magnesium alloy including an advanced pre-treatment of the material surface before deposition. Uniform Ni–P coating with an average thickness of 10 µm was formed by 95.6 wt % Ni and 4.4 wt % P. The content of Ni and P was homogeneous in the entire cross-section of the coating. Applying the Ni–P coating to the magnesium substrate, the surface microhardness increased from 60 ± 4 HV 0.025 to 690 ± 30 HV 0.025. Using the scratch test, it was determined that deposited Ni–P coating exhibits a high degree of adhesion to the magnesium substrate. Electrochemical corrosion properties of Ni–P coating were analyzed using the polarization tests in 0.1 M NaCl, while the deposited Ni–P coating showed an improvement of the corrosion resistance when compared to the ZE10 magnesium alloy. Using the scanning electron microscopy analysis, it was determined that the fine morphology of the deposited Ni–P coating did not contain visible microcavities. The absence of macrodefects due to the adequate pre-treatment before coating was reflected on the mechanism of the coated ZE10 degradation in a 0.1 M NaCl solution

    Influence of the Composition of the Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution on the Corrosion Behavior of AZ31 and AZ61 Magnesium Alloys

The influence of the solution composition and material surface finish was examined also through the analysis of corrosion products created on the samples’ surface after electrochemical measurements in terms of scanning electron microscopy using energy-dispersive spectroscopy. Obtained data revealed the differences in the response of the magnesium alloys to enriched Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution—HBSS+ (with Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions) and Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution—HBSS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions). Both examined alloys exhibited better corrosion resistance from the thermodynamic and kinetic point of view in the enriched HBSS+. AZ61 magnesium alloy reached higher values of polarization resistance than AZ31 magnesium alloy in both the used corrosion solutions. Phosphate-based corrosion products were characteristic for the AZ31 and AZ61 alloys tested in the HBSS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions). The combination of phosphate-based corrosion products and clusters of MgO and Mg(OH)2 was typical for the surface of samples tested in the enriched HBSS+ (with Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions). Pitting corrosion attack was observed only in the case of enriched HBSS+

    Photodynamic therapy (PDT) belongs in perspective modalities of cancer treatment. It is based on the tumour-selective accumulation of a photosensitizer followed by irradiation with light of a specific wavelength. PDT is widely developed nowadays due to its high specificity and selectivity along with absence of the unadvisable side-effects. Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) exploits ultrasound to induce cytotoxic effect of sensitizer. In our study we tested the possibility of combination of this therapies and icrease of efficiency. Our results suggest that irradiation in combination with application of therapeutic ultrasound increases production of reactive oxygen species and reduces viability of tumour MCF7 cells, compared to irradiation of ZnTPPS4 only, especially in the case of higher therapeutic doses. In the future, the combination of PDT and SDT can bring a new treatment modality for malignant and also nonmalignant diseases

    Predicting the dynamics of bacterial growth inhibition by ribosome-targeting antibiotics

    Understanding how antibiotics inhibit bacteria can help to reduce antibiotic use and hence avoid antimicrobial resistance - yet few theoretical models exist for bacterial growth inhibition by a clinically relevant antibiotic treatment regimen. In particular, in the clinic, antibiotic treatment is time dependent. Here, we use a recently-developed model to obtain predictions for the dynamical response of a bacterial cell to a time-dependent dose of ribosome-targeting antibiotic. Our results depend strongly on whether the antibiotic shows reversible transport and/or low-affinity ribosome binding ("low-affinity antibiotic") or, in contrast, irreversible transport and/or high affinity ribosome binding ("high-affinity antibiotic"). For low-affinity antibiotics, our model predicts that growth inhibition depends on the duration of the antibiotic pulse, with a transient period of very fast growth following removal of the antibiotic. For high-affinity antibiotics, growth inhibition depends on peak dosage rather than dose duration, and the model predicts a pronounced post-antibiotic effect, due to hysteresis, in which growth can be suppressed for long times after the antibiotic dose has ended. These predictions are experimentally testable and may be of clinical significance

Vypovídá o současných možnostech vybavení tříd a ty popisuje. Věnuje se i definici učebnice a její funkci ve výuce. Empirická část je zaměřena na analýzu funkcí a formální stránky interaktivních učebnic českého jazyka nakladatelství Fraus pro první stupeň základní školy. Zpracovává dotazníkové šetření provedené mezi učiteli prvního stupně základní školy, které se věnuje práci a požadavkům respondentů na interaktivní učebnice, a v samostatném závěru tyto dvě analýzy konfrontuje a vyhodnocuje splnění požadavků, které učitelé na i-učebnice mají.ObhájenoThe thesis Working with interactive textbooks Czech language at first grade of primary school is in the theoretical part focused on current modern technologies which are used in a basic schools. There is also survey which processes opinions of the primary teachers. The respondents are asked about their requirements for interactive textbooks. In the end of the empirical part these two analysis are compared among themselves whether the interactive textbooks suits their requirements
